Position Overview


The Associate Director, Communications and Public Relations based in Madison, NJ will be responsible for shaping and implementing a Public Relations (PR) communications program that will help drive business results, support our corporate reputation and assist the brand teams in meeting their objectives for the therapeutic area. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of external communications to support the assigned therapeutic area(s) and corporate goals of the Company.?


Will be responsible for the development and implementation of integrated strategic public relations plans and programs that increase awareness, consideration and trial of Allergan's products and key brands, among mainstream media and consumers in the United States.? The position seeks to create and sustain a positive image for Allergan's brands through proactive product communication strategies and reactive issues/crisis management.


Main Areas of Responsibilities




  • PR Planning for Brands - work with Brand leaders and PR agencies to develop press releases, issues management planning, and programs for the year. Once programs are developed, the AD will develop all finalized approvals and support for the plan.? This also requires ensuring the Corporate Communications group, Investor Relations, Media Relations, and Global Communications are all briefed accordingly.? This will also include the support of R&D PR as it relates to each brand. This includes top-line results, data and publication announcements, etc.


  • Approvals of PRC content for PR plans - responsible for the approval process of PR and media materials; managing all final edits of materials after Legal, Medical and Regulatory review.


  • Product Media Relations - handle the media strategy development for assigned US Brands, ensuring key metrics are put together to assess media volume, tone and tier I coverage. Proactively provide ways to integrate PR programs for maximum impact, act as media spokesperson for the brand which will generate acceptance of the brands and ensure balanced media coverage.


  • Support External Corporate initiatives to engage colleagues and build support within the larger community which can include advocacy relations activities, events and or media opportunities.


  • Support Corporate Initiatives such as acquisitions and integrations, R&D Day activities, launch activities including the internal activations and internal news articles and gaining approval on the content.




Requirements


The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:




  • Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate communications with an emphasis in public relations and communications.

Education




  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Organizational Communications, and/or Public Relations or related field or required; MBA preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
